What is Rootwork?

Rootwork, also known as Hoodoo, is a folk magic system based on African folk magic and Christianity. Over time, hoodoo practitioners (also called root doctors or conjure men/women) incorporated elements from Native American magical practices, European magical practices, Jewish magical practices and more.

Here I am in my garden with my favorite new aloe plant and tons of citronella in the background. Aloe is great for sun burns and citronella is great for cleansing and luck work. Around the corner is my beloved peony- used for love workings.
